Pottery At Home lets you keep practising without the upfront cost or commitment. Delivered to your door, collected when you're done.

How it works
Here’s how a typical hire works - simple and straightforward:
1. Reserve your wheel

We’ll confirm availability and next steps.
2. Delivery and collection

We deliver your wheel to your home and collect it when you're done.
3. Set up at home

Your wheel arrives ready to use, with simple setup guidance included.
4. Throw at your own pace

Use the wheel as much as you like throughout your hire period.

No fixed times or classes.
5. Fire locally

When your work is ready, access kiln space near you using KilnShare.

6. Return when finished

At the end of your hire, we’ll collect the wheel.

Delivery & Deposit

Free delivery and collection across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Falkirk, Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Fife, North Lanarkshire, the Scottish Borders, and Berwick-upon-Tweed.​
We’ll confirm delivery or collection details with you once your reservation is received.
Deposit
A refundable deposit is required for all rentals.

Tabletop wheel: £150 refundable deposit

Economy full-size wheel: £175 refundable deposit

Premium full-size wheel: £200 refundable deposit
The deposit is returned when the wheel is collected in good condition, in line with our Care, Damage & Deposit Policy.
Billing
Pottery At Home hires are billed in simple, clear periods to keep things predictable and manageable.

Minimum hire: 4 weeks
-
First payment: £116 (tabletop), £140 (economy) or £180 (full-size) - this covers your first 4 weeks
-
After that: Your hire continues weekly, billed in advance each week, until you're ready to return the wheel

End anytime: Just give us notice and we'll arrange collection
You’ll always know when a payment is due, and there are no surprise charges.
