Delivery & Collection

This policy explains how delivery and collection works for all Pottery @ Home hires.

Delivery days

All delivery and collection takes place on weekends only (Saturday and Sunday).

This allows us to:

  • offer reliable delivery slots

  • minimise disruption to customers’ working weeks

  • keep hire costs accessible

 

Weekday delivery is not currently available.

Delivery areas

Free delivery & collection

 

We offer free delivery and collection across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Falkirk, Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Fife (as far as Dunfermline), the Scottish Borders, and Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Eligibility is confirmed using your postcode at the reservation stage

Delivery outside our local area

 

Delivery is available elsewhere across Scotland and North England, subject to availability.​

  • Delivery: £45

  • Collection: £45

​

Delivery charges will be confirmed with you before invoicing.​​​

Delivery timing

  • Delivery and collection are arranged by appointment

  • We will agree a weekend date and time window in advance

  • Someone must be present to receive or hand over the wheel

We’ll always confirm details ahead of time so you know exactly when to expect us.

Access & handling

  • Please ensure clear, safe access to the delivery location

  • Wheels are delivered to ground floor locations only, unless agreed in advance

  • Full-size wheels require a two-person lift - please let us know in advance if there are stairs, narrow access, or other restrictions

If safe access is not available on arrival, delivery may need to be rescheduled.

Setup & installation

  • Wheels are delivered ready to use

  • Basic setup guidance is provided

  • We do not permanently install or modify furniture, worktops, or spaces

Collection at the end of hire

  • Collection will be arranged in advance and will take place on a weekend

  • Wheels must be:

    • clean

    • free from excess clay or water

    • safely accessible

 

Normal wear and tear is expected. Any damage beyond reasonable use may be addressed in line with our terms.

Failed delivery or collection

If a delivery or collection cannot take place due to:

  • no access

  • no one present

  • unsafe conditions

 

An additional charge may apply to cover the aborted visit.
